The Revolution Will Not Be Televised: Community Discussion
Saturday, January 17, 2015, 11:00am - 01:00pm
Mahogany Mayfield, a third year student at the University of Louisville invites guests to an event he is organizing on behalf of The Association of Black Students and The Muhammad Ali Institute for Peace and Justice.

This event is geared towards coming together and discussing the injustice taking place, touching on what has been heavily portrayed in our media as of lately, yet not disregarding the BIG PICTURE. It is meant for us to come together, and figure out what Louisville's contribution will be, and not just a repost or retweet. Mayfield would like to have people there that have started taken action along with those that have been reflecting and strategizing.

For the first portion of the event, guests will get a feel of who is in the room, along with an idea of what has already been done. Guests will discuss their agendas and afterwards form Workgroups.

The purpose of the workgroups is to come together with common interests, based off all of our overall objective: social justice. These workgroups will also be a sense of a support system. Each workgroup will have a "Delegated Chair," essentially the person that will check in with the other workgroups and their progress.
