Well over 50% of preschoolers who reside within key Louisville zip codes (40202, 40203, 40211, 40212) are showing up "not ready" for kindergarten, according to JCPS. This Early Child Development summit will feature available resources that will help Louisville put an end to this problem.

Richard Whitlock, creator of the Gap Felony Prevention Program, has called for a meeting at Cole’s Place, 2928 West Kentucky Street, for what he calls a “SOS - Saving Our Selves” meeting. Whitlock wants to synchronize existing community efforts in intervention programming, explore opportunities for groups and individuals to collaborate and provide assistance to those seeking resources for community intervention to come together.

Whitlock explains his motivations here: https://www.facebook.com/100000785216515/videos/1440181132684713/
