The Center on Race and Inequality's King Justice Lecture provides faculty and staff, students, and community members with the opportunity to listen to and engage with leading scholar activists working towards social justice. Rev. Osagyefo Sekou will deliver the 6th Annual CRI King Justice Lecture. Rev. Sekou is an author, documentary filmmaker, public intellectual, organizer, pastor and theologian. He currently serves as the Pastor for Formation and Justice at the First Baptist Church in Jamaica Plain, Boston, MA. Rev. Sekou was recently a scholar-in-residence at Stanford University's Martin Luther King Education and Research Institute before joining the movement in Ferguson, Missouri following the tragic shooting of Michael Brown, and has continued his efforts for social justice around the country. This event is affiliated with Project Progress, and sponsored by the Center on Race and Inequality, and the Department of Pan-African Studies.
