Please join us for "From Brown to the Present: The Road Beyond Michael Brown’s Ferguson and Eric Garner’s Staten Island: A Conversation about ‘What it Means to be ColorBrave”

This roundtable discussion (the first in the series) is intended to encourage discourse around the intersection of race and equality in America. Participants will be asked to consider institutional and legal barriers to equal opportunity in America with a particular emphasis on policing practices in urban communities. The program will include video clips and short readings and lots of discussion. (A link to the readings are listed below.) Our discussion is designed to provide the attendees with a better understanding of the current barriers to equal opportunity for marginalized groups. Additionally, the audience will be encouraged to think of effective legal strategies to address issues of access and equity among vulnerable populations.
